2025 Marketing Trends

2024 set the stage for some major shifts in how product brands market themselves, and if we had to guess, 2025 won’t be much different. Marketing can be such a wild card, but we’ve put together a list of some of the trends we think are worth getting behind this year. If you want to be competitive in 2025, this is your playbook.

2025 Marketing Trends

AI-Powered Content

The ever-present elephant in the room. AI is here to stay, and we highly recommend hopping on board now so you don’t get left in the dust. The possibilities are endless, but we use AI to help plan and write content, develop marketing calendars, build email campaigns, you name it. We also use it for creative direction with photoshoots. The best part about AI is that there’s a relatively low cost to entry. We use the paid version of ChatGPT to take advantage of custom instructions, but you can still get great content with the free version.

Shoppable Content

Apps are dedicated to keeping users on the app for as long as humanly possible, so they’re investing a lot of time an money in making the in-app shopping experience seamless. As a product brand, it’s important to take advantage of these features on the platforms you already use. Make sure you have a solid library of eye-catching lifestyle product photography that’s optimized for social shopping. (Pro tip: we can help with this!)

Sustainability and Ethical Branding

Consumers are more aware than ever about what goes into the products they love. Brands that champion transparency, sustainability, and ethical practices are winning hearts and sales. Shoppers want to feel good about their purchases, and it’s on you as a brand to help them. How you tell the story matters. Thoughtful product photography can highlight those details: the recycled materials, the handmade craftsmanship, the “behind-the-scenes” shots of production. Pair that with authentic copy and you’re not just selling a product, you’re inviting customers into a mission they can believe in.

Email Marketing

Email marketing isn’t new. But it’s also not going anywhere. It’s the highest ROI channel for product brands. Why? Because it’s direct, personal, and gives you full control over your audience. In 2025, we’re not just blasting out sales emails to our entire list. We’re personalizing; we’re segmenting. Customers expect a personalized experience, from product recommendations to birthday discounts.

Brands that nurture their list consistently, not just during launches, will see the biggest growth. You don’t have to sell in every email. Instead, work on building relationships through valuable content, sneak peeks, and storytelling. Map out your flows and update them quarterly. Your audiences’ needs evolve and your email strategy should too. (Another pro tip: we can help with this too!)

Micro-Influencers and UGC

Polished and professional product photography has it’s place, but so does authentic, real-life content. Brands no longer need to shell out the big bucks for celebrity endorsements because they’ve learned that micro-influencers and user-generated content drives engagement, trust, and sales. Micro-influencers have smaller but highly-engaged audiences and can create content that feels more personal and relatable. You can also ask your real customers for content in exchange for discounts, referral codes, or free products. In return, you get social proof that feels genuine. Encourage happy customers to share unboxing videos, product reviews, or lifestyle pictures, and reshare them across your marketing channels.

As we welcome 2025, let’s also welcome the changing marketing landscape. The industry is shifting towards authenticity, personalization, and deeper connections with consumers. Whether it’s through AI-driven content, sustainable branding, or partnering with micro-influencers, the common thread is clear—customers are craving real, meaningful interactions with the brands they support. Now that you’re up to speed, let’s make 2025 an intentional year!
